Who We Are

Susanne Van Selow


Susanne began her construction industry career during high school, where she discovered her talent in working with Computer Aided Design (CAD).  Starting as a receptionist at Mare Island Naval Shipyard in California, Susanne was soon after recruited to teach AutoCAD and Personal Designer to young engineers at Mare Island Naval Shipyard, Hawaii and Boston.  After her teaching travels, Susanne decided to settle down in the Tampa Bay area.  Upon relocating, it was troublesome for her to hear endless stories of substandard construction work that the local homeowners had received from some area remodelers and builders.

Motivated to make a change, Susanne decided to earn a Certified Building Contractor’s license and form her own company in 2004.  She also obtained Lead-Safe certification.  Additionally, Van Selow Design Build L.L.C. is the three-year recipient of the Best of Houzz Service Award (received from 2014-2016).  Susanne also utilizes Houzz to communicate with the community, as well as assist homeowners from all over the country through digital correspondence.

Susanne has contributed to the remodeling industry and the community in many ways.  She has acted as Project Captain in several community projects for Rebuilding Together.  Also, in 2015, Susanne volunteered to be the head contractor in the Grace House project for Religious Community Services.

As the President and Owner of Van Selow Design Build L.L.C., Susanne has been a member of the Tampa Bay Chapter of NARI since 2007.  She was the President of this chapter in 2010, and afterwards served on the ethics committee.  She is proud to be a NARI Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler and a NARI Green Certified Professional.  Susanne has been presented with The Remodeler of the Year Award in 2011 to recognize her for her delightful contributions to the remodeling industry as well as her community service and her certifications.  Additionally, Susanne’s projects receive awards each year in NARI Tampa Bay’s Contractor of the Year awards ceremony.  The award plaques that Susanne has accumulated over the years are proudly displayed in the company office.

Overall, Susanne Van Selow has met every goal she has set.  She has undoubtedly made positive contributions to the remodeling industry in the Tampa Bay area, through her quality work, positive attitude, and transparency with homeowners and other contractors.  Susanne runs her company in strict ordnance with NARI’s standards, as she believes all remodelers should.  Susanne Van Selow is clearly deserving of this year’s Hall of Fame Award, and would like to thank the committee for their consideration.

Heidi White


Heidi’s father built and remodeled homes so it’s fair to say that she grew up in the construction industry.  She loves working at Van Selow Design as Office Manager because she enjoys the client interaction, and loves seeing the project/remodel transformations from start to finish.

Heidi spends most of her free time with family and friends and she loves the outdoors.  She enjoys fishing, kayaking, camping and going to the beach.  She’s very active and loves working out.

Cameron Ferraro


Cam is a 4th generation, Pinellas County, Floridian with a passion for the Florida lifestyle. His special attention to detail and quick response makes for a smooth transition throughout the project.

In his free time, he enjoys saltwater fishing, kayaking, and spending time with family and his 2 dogs.

Alison Wojciechowski


Alison is a 2019 graduate of Kean University with a BFA in Interior Design. Alison currently works for Van Selow Design Build as an Interior Designer. Alison has had a passion and drive for Interior Design since High School. Alison’s favorite tasks as a designer is to create floor plans, 3D Renderings and seeing a design come to life in front of her own eyes. Alison loves the entire design process from the initial consultation to the final reveal.

During her free time, she likes to go to the beach, go out to dinner and explore the Tampa Bay area.

Jennifer Beck

Executive Assistant

Jennifer Beck has over 15 years of professional experience including administration, program management, sales, marketing, and design. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from West Virginia State University, a certificate in Modern Management Tools from the University of South Florida and is a certified Digital Marketing Consultant.  She loves the entire remodeling process and seeing the whole project finally come to life.

In her free time, she loves experiencing new places, sporting events, live music and spending time with her friends and family.
